Will LEGO be able to survive in the new NFT environment? One tweet is all that was needed to ignite the fans of both LEGO and NFT. Is it even possible that a brand famous for its world-recognized building bricks will be able to match its moves with the highly dynamic crypto market?

A Surprising Crossover: NFT x Lego

It is quite surprising to find that LEGO is on its path to enter the ecosystem of NFT. We all came to know this from the tweet of LEGO dated March 24, which says, “Zeros and ones, but it remains a brick.”

The immediate deletion of the tweet made this new development even more mysterious and intriguing. And, it didn’t take much time to apply certain theories about the upcoming entry of LEGO into the NFT ecosystem.

Due to the energy-intensive characteristic of NFTs, it is not being favored by all the fans of LEGO. A general sense of fear was expressed by various users on the internet. Some also pointed out the fact that the decision of LEGO favoring NFT didn’t match with the “green initiative” taken by the brand in 2021.

Indeed, there is a mixed reception surrounding the announcement which made LEGO to delete the tweet. Still, nothing can be said with much certainty at this point.

No matter what, such a sudden entry by one of the biggest global brands into the NFT world shows a growing interest in the up-and-coming market of NFTs.
